 Establishing a Black economy is not a symbolic gesture—it is a strategic imperative. It requires intentional circulation of our dollars within our communities, supporting and scaling Black-owned businesses, investing in Black-owned banks, and reclaiming control of land, housing, and capital. Financial literacy must be taught as early and widely as possible, and collective models like cooperatives, group economics, and community land trusts should be normalized. With coordinated efforts—backed by policy, education, and cultural commitment—a strong Black economy is not only possible, but necessary for true liberation. Economic power is freedom, and now is the time to build it.
